Blood Angel's Dart/Ammo Analysis - November 2016

Just in time for all your Black Friday shopping needs! It's the Blood Angel Ammo Analysis!

Are the new Rogue One blasters everything we've asked for?

On sale soon!

These have already been showing up on store shelves.

Hasbro has a rocky history with it's licensed products. Traditionally their size and function is aimed toward it's younger audience. But with the FOST blaster this last season being decent is there hope for more on the horizon? It looks like the Captain Cassian Andor blaster may be what we've asked for for a long time. It looks to be a flyweel blaster, and marks the notable return of the Raider stock. Let's hope that this is a true collapsible stock that we've all loved. The price is a bit steep, but considering it also comes with what looks to be a re painted Modulus scope and Spectre barrel, it may be the blaster we've always wanted. Plus this is part of the new Glowstrike line. That's a lot packed into one blaster and it looks like the form factor is significantly larger than the previously released FOST blaster. Hopefully the ranges are increased along with the size. At the moment this looks to be a Target exclusive, so keep your eyes out for early shelf stocking, or get ready for it's presumable drop on Force Friday (Sept.30th).

The New Year Wave

It's a blaster, he doesn't have a "no blasters" policy

While browsing my local target recently I came across a ton of blasters that weren't there before Christmas. While it was nice seeing new product, nothing in particular caught my interest. Then I saw this.....

Ok, so admittedly I didn't pick up any of the blasters featured in this article, but I thought it was worth showing people they're out there. None of these interested me, or would really be something I'd play with regularly. Plus the holidays hit my wallet pretty hard and I didn't have the extra cash to pony up for these guys just to do a review.

Goodbye Tactical Tag

After four and a half years, Tactical Tag is shutting it's doors. Bazookafied has decided to stop updating the blog with new content. Although it's a sad day, it's not all bad; the blog will remain up as a resource for newcomers and a nostalgic walk down memory lane for veterans.

Don't worry though, Zook hasn't given up Nerf or Laser Tag. In fact, he still plans to continue to update his Facebook and YouTube, so hopefully we can still get a regular dose of costume builds and elite hoaxes from our favorite shield slingin', foam flingin' Nerfer.

The final entry can be found here.

See ya in the funny pages Zook.

Nerf Rival Apollo Review and Internals

That's right! With a little luck and a lotta leg work we were able to get our hands on the Nerf Rival Apollo fresh from Target (check out our DPCI post for more info)! Big shoutout to Shawn and Blood Angel for comin' through on the legwork and getting these in hand super quick!

We know some of you prefer reading about our exploits, and we like to save a little somethin' just for the blog every now and then. So here's a quick overview of our first impressions of the blaster, as well as internals pics, and some ammo details.

Blood Angel's "Stock" Darts Analysis Update: K'nex & BoomCo

Stock Darts: July 2015

Nerf Modulus Overview

Barrel-ception

The Modulus wasn't anything I was particularly excited about to begin with. I was hoping it was nice, and seemed to have some up points. I liked the color scheme, and although the price was a bit high it was less than the Cam ECS, but still more than a Stryfe. Let's face it, that was going to be what most flywheel blasters were going to be, a re-shelled Stryfe. But aesthetics and ergonomics are important. The Stryfe is a great entry level blaster, but I like the idea of having more options than just colors. I don't mind a blaster's functionality being the same but the shell being new and different. It's like the Hammershot and Sweet Revenge. Often size, shape, look and feel play a large role in peoples' opinions of a blaster. In short: having more options is a GOOD thing. Diversity keeps this hobby fun and interesting.

Retaliator Kits from around the World

Blood Angel is back, and this time he's looking at more than darts! Our resident Bow-wielding badass is here to talk about Retaliators, and not just any the variety of mod kits from across the globe.

Especially since the Retaliator pump action craze has hit, everyone wants to get the most out of their purchase and breathe new life into their blaster. Of course, drop in kits are an instant go to, but which one is best?

What makes these so different anyway? Is one brand really better than another? Can you justify the price of importing some of these kits from overseas?

Look no further for your answer dear reader. Read on and educate yourself in all things Retaliator.
