Nerf Rival Apollo Review and Internals

That's right! With a little luck and a lotta leg work we were able to get our hands on the Nerf Rival Apollo fresh from Target (check out our DPCI post for more info)! Big shoutout to Shawn and Blood Angel for comin' through on the legwork and getting these in hand super quick!

We know some of you prefer reading about our exploits, and we like to save a little somethin' just for the blog every now and then. So here's a quick overview of our first impressions of the blaster, as well as internals pics, and some ammo details.

Watch Out Hasbro! Mattel to Release BOOMco Blasters

It shouldn't be news to anyone that Hasbro dominates the toy blaster industry. There have been many competitors to the Nerf kingdom, including companies such as Tek-Recon, Buzzbee and Zing.  However, a new threat looms beyond the horizon, and it's from an old rival: Mattel.

Phone Mount Mod for the Stryfe

Happy Easter everyone! We got a Sunday treat for you modders out there who are looking to record video during your games. Our buddy BFU has designed a simple and clean cam mount that can be used with the Nerf Stryfe and potentially other Nerf blasters utilizing the rail system. Full write up after the break!

Mega Centurion and Revonix360 Coming Sooner Than We Thought

It looks like our friends over at Shops.ch have passed through some more Nerf blasters.  First it was the Rapid Strike, which appears to be the successor to the Stampede. Now they have listings for the Mega Centurion and Revonix360!  Here is the translated description along with the original French description for the Mega Centurion:

"Mega Centurion is a gun to look and unique power: it draws more than 30 meters! Equipped with a tripod, it is the most accurate range. Charger included 6 darts"

"Le Mega Centurion est un pistolet au look et à la puissance unique : il tire à plus de 30 mètres ! Equipé d un trépied, il est le plus précis de la gamme. Inclus chargeur 6 fléchettes"

Revonix360 descriptions:

"A gun that shoots 3 discs at a distance of 15 meters! It is equipped with a rail for accessories to accommodate the nerve."

"Un pistolet qui tire 3 disques à une distance de 15 mètres ! Il est équipé d un rail permettant d accueillir les accessoires Nerf."

Elite Rapid Strike Leak?

Earlier today a Nerf Blaster dubbed the "Nerf Elite Rapid Strike" was posted on a European shopping website. Not much is known about the blaster, but from the design it appears to be an elite version of the Stampede. The design looks to include a switch for an electronic system below the trigger, but it is unknown if it's a semi-auto or full-auto blaster. The stock also has an orange switch, alluding that it might be adjustable. The website lists the price at 74.90 CHF (Swiss Franc), which equals about 79.10 USD. There is no official confirmation from Hasbro on this blaster or it's MSRP. Website link after the break.

My Last Dart has the exclusive on the new N-Strike Elite Mega Centurion. Sporting all new darts and internals the box claims distances of "up to 100 feet". This looks like it's going to be the first blaster in the "Mega" line and looks like Nerf's response to the demand for an Elite Longshot.  Check out the original post on My Last Dart for all the juicy exclusive details.
