New Blasters at Toys R Us in Sunnyvale

Many of the new Elite blasters were spotted in Sunnyvale at Toys "R" Us.
Rayven CS-18
Prices are as follows:
Rayven CS-18 - $39.99
Firefly Mission Kit - $19.99
Triad EX-3 - $7.99
Strongarm - $12.99

Also as usual, it seems that prices may be more expensive at Toys R Us. But at the moment there is a sale for "Buy 1, get 1 40% off" that may make it worthwhile if you were thinking of picking up more than one of these new blasters.

More pictures after the jump.

New Jolt and Stryfe in the Bay Area

Jolt photo taken at Best Buy in Santa Clara
Both the "Elite" Jolt and the Stryfe have been spotted in the Bay Area. The Jolt was seen at Best Buy in Sunnyvale. A Toy's "R" Us in San Jose has been reported to have the Stryfe.  The Jolt at Best Buy is retailing for $4.99, while the Stryfe at Toys "R" Us is going for $24.99, more expensive than either Amazon or Walmart.

While the Jolt has a new paint job, and the nose has been changed a little, it does not actually mention the Elite line anywhere on it or the packaging. Looks like Nerf may still be reserving that for blasters that hit certain ranges.

Special thanks to Amy, who dropped the news and snapped us a picture of the Jolt at Best Buy.

Stryfe on Amazon

Stryfe (American Box)
The Stryfe has mad it's way onto Amazon for 19.99. It's actually been there for a couple of days, but we wanted to make sure it was legitimate (as the listing has no picture). Today, it came in! There are already quite a lot of reviews already up and internals listed for this guy. So all that's left is to get your hands on one! If you haven't been lucky enough to find one at a Toys R Us near you, here's the link to the Stryfe on Amazon.com:

Special thanks to Paul for tipping us off to this earlier in the week.

Edit: It's also popped up on Walmart's website for the same price with the option for in store pickup as soon as 12/7. Is this an official release date? We'll have to wait and see.

Stryfe in California

Nerf blogger Cartaya over at Cartaya's Revenge has not only posted up some detailed tests and pictures of the new Stryfe, but apparently acquired his in California. In the comments section of the article featuring the unboxing of the blaster, Cartaya revealed that he purchased the blasters "Toys R Us. stevenson ranch, California" It's definitely a little ways away from the San Francisco Bay Area, but it means that hopefully they can't be far off from showing up in stores here. We checked out some local Toys R Us' in the area and haven't spotted anything yet. Be sure to let us know if you find anything! We'll keep you posted on any further developments.

Ruff Cut and Strongarm Pictures

Urban Taggers has revealed some photos of what is believed to be the Ruff Cut and Strongarm, from the filming of an upcoming "Nerf Evolution" commercial. Pictures can be found here and here, on the Urban Taggers blog. The pictures were originally found on the instagram of  model/actor Brandon Pera, who also tweeted from the set. It appears the Ruff Cut will be a pump action blaster with what appears to be a 2x4 barrel, holding two rows of four darts. Hopefully this commercial comes out sooner rather than later.

Kohl's Exclusive Update

Aside from the Rapid Strike Mission Kit, Kohl's also has a Lumitron exclusive that comes with an extra 14 glow-in-the-dark discs. Both have been spotted in stores with "A Kohl's Exclusive" sticker. The prices online are listed at $36.99 and $39.99 respectively. However, in store, they are only 20% off their "normal" price: $54.99 for the Rapid Strike Mission Kit, and $59.99 for the Lumitron. This brings the prices to roughly $44 and $48, which really isn't worth it considering the normal retail price.

Rapid Strike Mission Kit

Kohl's has these for sale on their website and they are appearing in stores. The kit includes a Retaliator (without barrel or stock attachments) and two 18 round magazines with 36 elite darts. According to Kohl's website the "original" price is $54.99, but is currently listed with the sale price of $36.99. No word yet on if this is a Kohl's exclusive or not, but if you don't care about the attachments or the 12 round magazine, this might be worth looking into.

Elite Nightfider: Firestrike

Sources have led us to some pictures online of what appears to be the Elite version of the Nightfinder: the Firestrike! Although these pictures have a  similar backdrop to other leaked blasters that may or may not be repaints or fakes, (There's been a lot of debate surrounding some pictures of a blue Jolt) this seems to coincide with the images Nerf has revealed thus far. The original image (released as promotional material and on some packaging) closely resembles the preview that appeared online. What exactly will the second trigger be? Speculation is that it may be a red light under the barrel, and the caution sticker would appear to coincide with something to that effect. No word on any internal changes, we can only wait and see.

Elite Firefly clip, darts, Raven, and Stryfe!?

TaoBao.com has posted up some pictures of new Elite glow-in-the-dark darts. What's more interesting is the back of the packaging, which shows more previews of the elite line. Aside from a repainted Rayven and Firefly Tech Clip, the Stryfe looks to be a completely new blaster, and without any noticeable priming mechanism. Could this be the clip fed Barricade/Stockade we've all been waiting for?

Orange Mod Works Retaliator Unleashed

Orange Mod works has announced their Retaliator "Unleashed" kit. The kit (also known as "Stage 1") will feature a trigger catch, two double strength trigger catch springs (in case you lose one), a reinforcement plate, and a 5+ kg mainspring. The spring should be close to double the strength of the stock spring.

From Orange Mod Works Facebook page:
"Hey guys, the Retaliator Stage 1 kit will be available for pre-order on September 14. Our planned release date for this kit is October 30. All pre-orders will ship with a metal trigger. If you wish to purchase a spring on its own, those will be available for purchase next week for the price of $6.00. As a final note, unlike previous preorders, we will be unable to split any shipments that include the Retaliator kit, as our new store software will not allow us to do so. As such, all orders that include a Retaliator Stage 1 kit will be shipped in their entirety upon the release of the kit. If you want other items with the Retaliator kit prior to its release, be sure to place separate orders (one for the Retaliator kit, one for everything else)."
The pre-order page can be found on the OMW website here: http://www.orangemodworks.com/product_p/u-rt1.htm&Click=4057

Nerf Elite "Jolt"

Nerf Elite Jolt? As seen on
back of Elite Nerf Vest box.
Nerf hasn't officially announced a retooled version of the Jolt for the Elite line yet, and much speculation has gone around online after images of the blaster surfaced in box art and promotional pictures. More recently a Jolt with an elite color scheme can seen on the back of the box of the Elite Nerf Vest.

However, apparently this may not be the final product. A video has surfaced online showing a fully functional version of the Nerf Triad EX-3.  Externally, and in operation this blaster is vary similar to the Jolt, but seems to be intended to blast three darts. Also, this seems to use an elite version of "whistler" darts. The video is in Chinese, but the fully functional blaster can be seen demonstrating each barrel working, and not just there for dart storage! However, the video does not show all three darts firing simultaneously, leaving many questions unanswered. Is this an elite version of the Jolt, or a completely new blaster?
