Rebelle Guardian Crossbow Internals

I've been meaning to get these up for quite some time, but with so much other news and planning games I just couldn't seem to find the time to open this gal up and nab some pictures. Here they are now, and as most people have noted the internals seem to be similar to a Strongarm, but I didn't have one on hand to compare it to.  I left things all stock, I'll leave the modding to more talented people.
**Warning picture heavy post after the break**

Something I really enjoy is the internals being one (mostly) solid piece that you can remove. This is reminiscent of the Hammer Shot and the Sweet Revenge. I really enjoy this as it makes painting a breeze for those who are merely interested in the shell.

Also, the entire handle piece and trigger are separate, so you don't even need to bother with those screws to get to the internals. Again, sounds like it will make painting a bit easier

There are a few screws holding the internals themselves together that need to be undone to get to the necessary components.Be careful, as once these are off you still need to use a flat head screwdriver (or similar tool) to pop open a few tabs on the top and bottom of the blaster. The ones on the bottom are located beneath the white priming bar, so I had to pry it open without breaking that; not a huge challenge, just something to note.

Unfortunately the tiny piece of plastic that sticks out of the blaster to hold the string is connected to the plunger, and while it can be unscrewed, it connects to arms that are pulled back when you prime the blaster. Looks like you'll have to cut this piece off if you want to remove it but retain functionality.

Finally we come to the plunger tube. You can see there is a small hole at the top of the tube that most modders will likely plug. removing the air restrictor should be as simple as prying the pink front off the plunger tube and cutting out some of those pegs in the plunger tube and head..... Well it would be that simple if it all wasn't glued together. It's SOLID. I don't know if I just got lucky with this blaster, or if they all have copious amounts of this bonding agent.

It was a bit tricky getting everything back together, but it's mostly a matter of making sure the priming bar is aligned correctly.  All in all, a fun, easy romp inside this blaster. Still hope the price will be less at retailers other than Toys R Us, because it's a solid blaster that's a lot of fun, but is a bit over priced when you can get a Strongarm, Alpha Trooper, Stryfe, Rough Cut, Hammer Shot, or Sweet Revenge for cheaper.  Well, that's it, hope this helps all anyone thinking about picking up this blaster.

  3. Thanks a lot for the pictures! I was putting it back together but didn't place the spring in the proper position, which made it jump out of the shell. Other tiny parts flew out as well and I didn't make a picture of the internals. Your pictures helped me out a lot to make it work again!
